Preparing for our new arrivals

We are down to the wire now! Pirah has roughly a week to go and just when I think she cannot get any bigger, she somehow manages to.

The whelping box is set up and we have been sleeping in the downstairs guest room so she can avoid trucking up and down the stairs.

The supply box is filled with oral calcium for delivery, towels, bulb syringe, tools for cord cutting, baby scale, notebook, baby collars, heating pad and more.

Her days are interesting. She's quite hungry still but wants "high value" food vs just plain kibble. Sometimes she has energy and other times she wants to just lounge and can't seem to find a comfortable spot.

She still likes to wade in the pool and chase her niece, chew bones and pick up anything I happen to drop to hand to me.

Next Tuesday cannot come soon enough (X-ray day). I find myself feeling incredibly anxious about not quite knowing our count and hoping it is not an enormous litter.
